Hi all,

bit of a shot in the dark but this is the 'suggestions and improvements' section. I've had my iPhone 3g for 18 months and upgraded to iPhone 4 on wednesday. There seems to be an app for absolutely everything and as the guys at romancart are constantly coming up with innovative features, I just wondered if this is something you that may have been considered?

Not entirely sure what would be required or how in-depth the app could be but just a thought :)

What would the app actually do???

I monitor my sales using web browser on my Android phone. I don't see the need for an app yet. BTW, a button or shortcut to bring me direct to Sales Manager would be great. The old control panel was easier with its large menu buttons.

Hi,
We are currently working on an iphone app for this.
Essentially you will be able to view sales totals and basic order information.
Many Thanks

H,
Opening a web browser on a mobile phone takes time and then you have to navigate to the correct page, zoom the page, log in then navigate through a page designed for a full size browser.

With an app, a couple of button clicks get you to see the summary information you need to see in the format designed for the phone. For most small businesses, this might be on the day the business owner has a day off, but wants to check how much they have turned over that day.
The number of apps on the iphone is absolutely huge - even though most of it could be done in a browser. Apps however make it much easier.

Many Thanks

How much sold so far? How many customers today?

If my wife caught me doing that on a day off,

Seriously, I use the browser on my Android to see exactly what I have sold and what I need to buy each day as I travel around each day. Overall totals are for research and planning which I tend to do when sitting down at my office desk.

P.S. I use the URL shortcut to quickly login, the drop down menu is a bit fiddly but I can get to the Sales page, and I can view all the sales invoices yhat I need. I have even done a few despatches from the Android.

Top stuff @ the iPhone app, thanks support guys :)

Genealogy, although it's possible to view all the details by logging into the control panel via the browser on a smartphone, a dedicated app would be more user friendly with an interface designed specifically for said smartphone, and the app would only need to download the info which it is able to display so technically it should run/load quicker?

I can log into paypal to view my balance/transactions in the browser but their iPhone app is a far more polished & quicker way of checking the same information.
