   when paying for an item the clients name is automatically inserted in the card information

and cannot be altered. this information is being transferred from the billing address info.

if the customer has a different version of their name on their card i.e. only initials for their first name,

but have entered their full name in the billing address the card transfer will be cancelled.

is there a way of allowing customers to fill in their own details on both the billing and credit card

	Hi, If you're using Romanpay you can configure this so that the customer's name can be edited. Go to Security Settings and check the box saying "Allow Customer Name to be Edited". If you're not using Romanpay, contact your PSP and ask how this can be done; it normally can be, but it is a PSP issue, not Romancart. Hope this helps.
