Hi,
The UK government are running a campaign called 'making tax digital'

This means that VAT returns have to be digitally submitted through an approved application.

RomanCart is registered with HMRC and so merchants using RomanCart for Vat returns will be able to do this automatically.

As part of this - we have to have credit notes working!

Therefore the latest this will appear is end of Q1 2019 however hopefully before in fact we will try and add this next week.

Many Thanks

Hi,
Please note that the only thing needed to add regarding the credit note is the document for a credit note.

If you are using RomanCart for accounting then without this you can simply enter the credit in the 'other income' section. (This has always been the case).

Many Thanks

Hi

Does this generate a credit note in the sales manager so that we can send it to the customer?

Hi,
It doesn't create a document but it is added to the vat return.
Many Thanks

So, are there no plans to add a Sales credit note which is a basic accounting requirement. I understand the purchase credit, but this doesn't help when wanting to create a credit note for the customer.

Hi,

We are definitely going to add credit note functionality asap. It's just that it was not needed for MTD which is now available in RomanCart. (as you can enter it as an 'incoming' amount.

Clearly it is a lot better to have the paperwork and have it properly on the system however making sure we can submit vat to mtd was the initial priority.

Apologies for the delay with this as I know you've been waiting a while for this. Hopefully we can get this sorted out next week.

Many Thanks
