I would just like to add that Amber is by no means alone in losing functions from gold level cart, we too have lost a number of useful functions that we previously had & support's (eventual!) response to this was that these were functions that we should not have had in the first place. The fact remains that we did have these functions in the old cart & now in the new one we don't, this all flies in the face of the statement that no-one will lose any functionality. I have for the last 2 months been trying to get some response from support via e-mail on this issue, but sadly they will not reply, perhaps putting this on the forum will generate a response?

What I find a bit confusing about this statement is how an upgrade can lead to a withdrawal of functionality. I was always under the impression that upgrading a subscription meant keeping the facility already held, along with the unlocking of other functions. It seems in this case it was actually possible to lose something despite paying a higher price. This may be all academic now, for so desperate were we to get this particular function back, we took the rather begrudging step of paying an extra £70 to upgrade in order to get it back. I sincerely hope that this particular upgrading does not lead to another loss or withdrawal of any other functions we currently hold. |

I beg to differ, we have been with Roman Cart for several years operating on a Silver Package, when we tried to upload a few more products yesterday we find we are now on a Starter Package with no ability to add further products as we have exceeded our allowance. Fuinctionality has clearly decreased. This is a significant change in Terms and Conditions and functionality and one which we would not have agreed to. Not only is this inconvenient it is clearly a breach of contract. What is going to be done about this? so far our phone calls haven't been returned despite promises from the lovely Vicky. |

We are also unhappy with the loss of the Gold level - our new 12 month subscription started just prior to the loss of the Gold package but we were not informed that it was about to be deleted all together, we also think we have had functions removed. For that reason can we ask
Support to show a listing of our Gold level allowances desplayed on the upgrade screen so we can see what functions we have alongside the new named levels as there is nothing on there now to tell us what we had and have paid for and are entitled to for the next 10 months or so. We also agree that if support have reduced our functions we should be given them back. Red |

There is so much debate about this which always seems to come back to a response from Romancart (eventually!) that the functionality that you previously had, was a mistake & you shouldn't of had it, therefore you haven't actually had a reduction in what you have paid for - I'm not happy about that, but as Red says, Romancart don't want to publish what the gold level entitlement is & so it is difficult to argue.
There is however, one reduction in the functionality of the cart which we find to be a major pain & that is that each product manager category is now limited to only 50 products, previously we had up to 150 without problem. The limited editing that can now be done in those categories is a major pain (for us at least) as this effects any subscription level I don't see how Romancart can call this anything except a reduction in functionality. I had raised this with support some time ago (many weeks) & it was supposedly "being looked into" but then no more was said. Is this limitation effecting others? If so & enough people raise it with support perhaps they will do something...... |

Thank you Peter for the information and the news that we should be able to keep the Gold when we renew next year. However it would be nice to be able to see Gold functions alongside the new levels when you go to view details on each subscription level, so we could see the different functions more clearly against each other. After all the view details on each subscription level is there to allow you to view the different levels all together and we have purchased the Gold level so feel it should be there for customers with Gold to view. Also does anyone know which of the new names Gold now comes under or does Gold level sit between two of the new names? and if we are alowed to continue to renew this level why is it not shown on the subscription levels page as being available to existing Gold customers only? Als have other levels ie Silver just been renamed?
Can Support give us some answers please? Red |
