Do the new templates let us customize the upsell/cross sell page?

Thanks

Are there instructions anywhere for this. I thought the shopping cart template was for the basket and so not sure how to customize just the upsell page

Hi Rich,

- Go to 'configure > appearance > hosted cart pages'
- Find a template you wish to edit then click on the action icon
- You will be in the 'user templates' section now
- Click on open, now you will see all the pages that can be edited
- Click on the pencil icon to edit any page
- You will now see all the HTML and romancart tags that make up that page
- At the top of each edit page there will be a box in pale blue with links to the tags you can use on that page

If there is any part of this you want me to explain in more detail then please let me know. Please also let us know if you are ever unsure what any of the tags do.

Thanks

James

We are happy with our current basket and checkout but I take it we are going to have to choose a template that will then overide all our current cart pages.
Basket
Checkout
Integrated Payment Page
Region
Order Complete
Cross-Sell/Up-Sell
Bundle Options
Get Image

To get the look and all the info we want on these pages t is going to take a lot of previewing and editing.
Is there no way of doing this before making it live?

Hi,

Unfortunately there is no way of testing before making it live.

However we have found that a few web designers sign up for the free version of romancart and use that to work on, then when they are ready to go live they simply copy the code from the free account over to their main account.

Thanks

James

Hi,

I've been experimenting with the button widget. It's a great feature.

Has anyone got an IE browser older than version 9 that they can look at my first page with?

I've got version 9 and when flicking between compatibility view and standard view, the widget sometimes fails to reload - although if I close the browser and reopen it, it's fine (although my view cart button turns into a link and my rounded button corners come and go LOL - it's been a while since I played around with style sheets).

I just want to be absolutely sure that everyone who lands on my site can buy things. Although it's a bit basic by today's standards, it works well and I'm frightened to make radical changes to things that work!

Thanks in advance - here's the page with the widget on:

Richard.

Hi Just tried it in IE8, seems to work OK, the only difference I can see is that the VIEW Basket is a text link and not a button as in FireFox

I don't use IE much if not at all, I'm a FireFox person
Keep well
