Hi,
No - a view basket button does not contact the server until you click on it so it has no effect on loading time.
Many Thanks

At the moment I have the "View Basket" button alongside the quantity and total.
If I add the "View Basket" button to this new version, will this defeat the point of the faster loading?

Hi,

When you show the cart totals at the top of the page with the old method, the browser has to retrieve the totals before it can show the page.

If a customer is on a slow mobile connection then this (or any other script running at the top of your page e.g. analytics etc.) can mean that the user has to wait for the page to load.

With the new method we have provided for showing the totals, the totals can still appear at the top of the page, however the data retrieval takes place at the bottom of the page.

This means that the page could appear much faster rather than waiting for the totals to appear.

Many Thanks

Hi,

If you display the quantity and total(s) on your web pages then you can now use a much faster method.

See http://www.romancart.com/sell-more/tabs/how_it_works_examples.html#q
for details.

Many Thanks
