Hi,
Is anyone else that uses the PayPal Pro (PCI Compliant) payment integration having problems with failed RC orders with the Payment Status: 'Result not ready'? In addition to the above issue I'm also seeing over 100 failed transactions per day in the PayPal Manager daily reports with the error code 7 'Field format error' I've reported the above issues to RomanCart & PayPal support departments but they say that no other merchants are experiencing the issue and don’t appear to be interested in resolving the problem Consequently I would appeciate it if any PayPal Pro (PCI Compliant) payment integration users would run some PayPal Manager daily reports and let me know if they are seeing a high volume of code 7 'Field format error' warning messages or any failed RC orders with the Payment Status: 'Result not ready' Thanks in anticipation Nick G. |

Hi Nick,
I've got PayPal Pro - but if there's more than one version, my reports may not be of any use to you. I haven't had a code 7 throughout the whole of October though. Regards, Richard. |

Hi rscass,
Yes, The version I'm have the problems with is 'PayPal Pro (PCI Compliant)' The old system 'PayPal Website Payments Pro (Payflow Edition)' works fine but apparently we are not supposed to use this any longer because it's not PCI Compliant but I may have to switch back to it soon if RC can't find a fix for the problems with the new version. Which version of PayPal integration are you using with RC? Nick G. |

Hi Nick,
I'm using PayPal Website Payments Pro (Payflow Edition). I don't use virtual terminal(I got PayPal to physically disable it), therefore (and I hope I'm right), because I'm not storing or transmitting card data, I don't have to be concerned about PCI compliance - I simply don't get to handle the card data. This may change though, because I'm planning on taking advantage of PayPal's offer for a chip/pin device. Best wishes, Richard. Edited by rscass - 16 October 2014 at 12:41pm |

Hi Richard,
That's the version I was using up until about 6 months ago when RC support informed me that I should change to the new 'PayPal Pro (PCI Compliant) integration which is giving the problems. I don't use virtual terminal either so perhaps I'll be OK. I've decided to wait until this weekend to give RC a chance to resolve the issue with their 'PayPal Pro (PCI Compliant) integration before making switch back to the old 'Payflow Edition'. Unlike the new PCI Compliant integration, the old 'PayPal Website Payments Pro (Payflow Edition)' reduces our vulnerabilty to fraud by reporting the results of the card address & Zip code verification checks to RomanCart so that we can make further checks before despatching the order. It appears that getting help & support from RC these days is like trying to get blood from a stone! I'm currently awaiting a responce from RC support to several forum threads, some of which I've been bumping in the hope of a responce for months! Regards Nick G. |

Hi Nick
Are you using 3d secure? I've opted in from the outset. Whilst I suspect I'm not as busy as you, it's worth noting that I haven't had a single chargeback since adding this function. Richard. |

Hi Richard,
I enabled 3D secure when it was first introduced, I think this was about 5 years ago, I had lots of abandoned cart issues so I disabled 3D secure after a short while. Touch-wood I very rarely get chargebacks, Nick G. |
