Permission based email marketing is very powerful and the best specialist systems ask customers to confirm by sending them an email with a "confirmation link" before adding them to the list.

Can this be achieved in RomanCart and if so how?

Hi,

There's no way to do this with Romancart. The Customer does have to tick a checkbox at the checkout stage to accept emails, or you can sign them up without a sale using the code from Romancart.

Hi,
That is known as 'double opt in'. We don't support it at this time as essentially many people who sign up will not respond to the extra opt in email, so it is not great for marketing results, however it is something we will likely add at some point as an option.
Many Thanks
