Hi,

Please note that PayPal is currently effectively down which is affecting all transactions going through PayPal.

We don't have any further information on this however clearly their engineers will be working on this.

We believe it may be an issue with a US DNS provider.

Currently www.paypal.com is not available if you try with a browser.

Many Thanks

Hi,
Further to the above, please note that many other popular internet sites are also down or affected.

Paypal have been having problems for a couple of weeks as far as I am concerned. Not in taking payments, but payment emails were coming through after extended delays - some were more than 2 days, when normally they would be instant. Also trying to download a report from Paypal, which for small reports would typically be within minutes, were taking up to 3-4 days.

I wonder whether Paypals infrastructure can actually cope. The problems seem far more commonplace since the split with eBay.

Hi,

It is more likely the companies which are handling the DNS for PayPal and other large web companies which are having an issue, rather than PayPal itself.
