The new panel won't let me despatch an order that has already been despatched - so I don't know how to make sure my customer gets an email telling them their exchange is on the way.

Is there a clever way of despatching an exchange because the way I used to do it now won't work? (I used to just edit the order to show the exchange and then despatch the order again so they got another despatched email showing the new stuff).

Can anyone help to save me emailing support again?

thanks!

Hi,

We've never tried to re-dispatch an order, we just created a status long ago for 'Resent' which shows up in a different colour so that we can easily see if an order has been sent out again. You could use multiple statuses for different resend reasons eg exchange, lost, damaged etc.

I just tried the new control panel after being sent a link. On the despatch emails, the tracking info I put in there does not get sent on the email. Going into order tracking on my website, the tracking info is not in there either. Is this how it is or am I not fully operational yet?

Peter,

You have to enter the <trackingref> tag to your email customisation script to display the tracking reference on your despatch confirmation email
