Hi,

Widgets now show the decoration selected.

In addition they show the sale price and sale decoration if in a sale period.

Text can be set on the sale info to describe the new price.

e.g. Now!
or Until Tuesday!

Many Thanks

Have RC published a list of compatible browsers for the widget?

Hi,

The latest widget templates have been tested on
IE8,9,10,11
Latest versions of
Chrome
Firefox
Safari
Opera

If you create your own template (whether or not based on ours) you would need to test it against your target browsers as a lot of compatibility is based on the template content itself.

Many Thanks

is there a way to alter the sash size as it covers part of the product name text

Hi,

The templates are designed independently and each sash is an image. You or your web designer can create your own sash images as you require. There is an image repository you will see when you create a user template where you can upload these supporting images.

Hi Support
I have just spent 2 hours doing a custom widget, it would help if the Roman Cart ready built Sash were designed in a size that did not cover the product description name. From what you are saying above we will all need to make our own Sash and upload them to the image repository.
The widget with the sash should be easy to use, we shouldn`t need to have to make our own sash images as this is a Roman Cart feature can you not just make your sash images fit the widget better?

Hi,

The solution is probably for you to make your widget wider, which would give more space for the itemname.

If that is not a solution, mock up a screenshot of what you would like and we will take a look.

Many Thanks

I already tried making the widget wider but it also then makes the product name wider rather than having it on 2 lines so it then still covers part of the product name.
The widget sash image design is Roman Carts can your designers not just test this and sort the problem out please, all it needs is for the in built sash images to be a little smaller and not cover the product name area in any way.

Addition to the above, if you want all Roman Cart users that wish to use the new sash template to make their own sash images we would all need to make 9 different images and upload them to the image repository in order to use it, it is logical for Roman Cart to correct the problem

Hi,

As above, please feel free to email or post a mock-up of what you are looking for.

It looks fine with our demo products as the itemname wraps around.
Do you have very long itemnames with no spaces in them? (which are likely to cause a problem whatever the widget looks like).

Many Thanks

I have set our web site live with a sash example for the W80 1 1/2" (38mm) Collar which is the item name, the Collar section is covered by the sash. I do not feel that is an overlong item name, the sash should be designed in a way that it does not cover the item name entered for products. Our item names if longer wrap onto 2 lines but we also get the same problem with part of the name being covered by the sash.
I have sent you the link to our live example but cannot keep it on there for more than a few mins as it is a live example sale price.
You should not be expecting roman cart customers to do all the design/work for you it should be your own team sorting this problem.

We were told by Support the following

"Maybe try the template with the sash on the right as that leaves more space on the left?

Alternatively copy the template to your user area and yourself or your web designer can customize the template exactly as you require.

Many Thanks

which is what we were using however it turns out that we can manage to use the other template with the sash as it is which is the one with the sash on the left. Not as nice a sash as we would like but we have managed to get it working for now, sash in our opinion is too big, in our view do not even try the other one with the sash on the right.

Hi,
We have added a new template where the sash goes along the top, which should be useful to you.
Many thanks

Hi Support,
just tested the new Sash where it goes along the top and there is no Sash showing at all on that template.

Sorry I got that wrong, I needed to set a product with a sale price to see the sash, it shows OK however the sash is very big in size just like on the other sash widgets.

Is there any chance you can allow us to copy a copy so we can make slight changes to templates we have adapted without having to start again from scratch

Hi,

Unfortunately this is not something we can do at this time. Your best course of action is to simply copy another template and copy the code code you have been working on into the other template.

Thanks

James
