Hi Support,

Can you please address the issue where PayPal Address fields containing "double quotes" are ignored by RC

e.g. the following address in PayPal:

Fred Bloggs
"Timber Tops"
High Street
Anytown
Shire
AB1 2CD

Appears in RC Sales Manager as follows:

Fred Bloggs

High Street
Anytown
Shire
AB1 2CD

For an example see order RC10508301

This issue often results in packages being returned undelivered due to part of the address being missing

Thanks in anticipation

Actually. we've started getting garbled address details too, where we did not before. For example, here's one:

Shown on Paypal:
Mühlenstr. 4
34379 Calden
Germany

Shown on RomanCart:
MN&hlenstr. 4
Calden
4379
GERMANY

The customer's name is also garbled, probably because of the presence of a german accent - the two dots over the letter (an umlaut).

I seem to remember having to make modifications to avoid this garbling before and all was then OK. However, this is not an issue that can wait for two weeks and must be sorted out uimmediately, We have had 4 unreadable addresses today.

Hi,
You need to make sure that both your PayPal account and your cart are set to UTF-8.
Please can you confirm that this is the case.
Many Thanks

Yes, this is the case. Settings show:

Encoding - UTF-8

Do you want to use the same encoding for data sent from PayPal to you (e.g. IPN, downloadable logs, emails)?:

Yes

I'm not clear where we've got to on this. In the last posting you ask me a question which I've answered. What do I do now, or are you looking into it?

We are still receiving orders where important address fields containing "double quotes" are ignored,

See Invoice RC11487644, the first line of this customers address as shown on PayPal is "Kampar"

Could you please investigate and resolve this integration issue

Thanks in advance

Bump

I've just had another similar example of this where RC dropped address line 2 because the line included an ampersand, see RC11519343 (line 2 was empty but this order has now been corrected manually)

Could you please investigate and resolve this integration issue

Thanks in advance
