Authorisation Mode needed for Optimal Payments

   I am using Optimal Payments. Like most payment gateways Optimal's XML spec enables the use of an 'Authorise' or 'Payment' mode with the change of just one parameter. However RomanCart currently supports only the 'Payment' mode.

My business model needs the 'Authorise' mode so that I can check availability before charging my customers. RomanCart offers this functionality with other payment gateways (e.g. HSBC, SagePay, WorldPay, PayPal Website Payments Pro) but not Optimal.

I love RomanCart but my choice of payment gateways is limited so I am really hoping you can support this. If not my options are limited and as far as I can see I would need to change my cart provider, and I really, really don't want to have to do that. Please can you help?
