Could anyone tell me if the following is expected behaviour please?

I have created a few items in product manager.
I add an item to basket.(in this case QTY=1)
I then continue shopping and add to basket the same item again.(QTY=1)
The basket quantity count remains unchanged at 1.

Should the basket quantity be incremented each time the same item is added?

I have experimented with different styles of add buttons and quantities, but it is only ever the last add that is written to the basket.

Many thanks
Steve

Hi Steve
It should add the second item to the first one and so increase the total to 2 take a look at ours if you wish www.aecollars.co.uk

Hi,

It's optional and the behaviour can be changed at 'Tools / Options / Basket'. The 4th item down the page allows you to "Add quantity to existing cart item instead of replacing it".

Hope this helps,

Hi Red
Many thanks for your advice.
I'm still at the R & D stage so I've a long way to go.
Great website.

Cheers

Many thanks for this tip Dave P.
I was looking for a far more technical reason for it not working (I'm integrating RC with Joomla) - clearly I missed this option
Like your site by the way.
Thanks again
Steve
