Hi,
The unknown for us is the code which you are using on your web page. We know exactly what our system does at our end - the variable is the data which you are passing it. Therefore to solve any issue - whatever the cause we need to know exactly how to reproduce it. This requires you let us know the exact info sent to the cart which shows the issue. Once we reproduce it - if it's a problem with the data you are sending the cart we can advise what to change - if it's a problem at our end then we can fix it without you needing to do anything. To clarify - if you are having a problem with the cart, then we want to help you get it working as quickly as possible! Because there are so many ways that RomanCart can be used, it's impossible for us to predict the data you might be sending to the cart without you showing us. With your exact question - the customer is reporting that they are getting 'thrown out' when they click on the 'Continue Shopping' button. This sounds like the button is working but taking them to a dead end. Maybe the returnurl is not a valid url (most likely) or the page they are being sent to is simply not working. However even then - 'thrown out' can mean lots of things ideally more information on the actual problem experienced would be ideal. Can you post or email the url's of the product(s) they were trying to purchase and we can see if we can see anything obvious. Many Thanks Support |

The product first added to the basket was a W2 Collar on it`s own product page http://www.aecollars.co.uk/w2_collar.html, the customer made selections and added to basket then pressed the continue shopping button ( as she wanted to select a L3A 1" Lead)which should return her to that page due to automatic continue shopping selection ticked on Roman Cart (I have just reset this back for you to test this). But it failed to return her to the page and just gave her a message, her explanation follows
"it has an error message which asks me to go back to previous page." We have not been able to reproduce this when we have tested it however it seems strange that we have just had a report of a problem with the continue shopping when Jackslad has also had problems. Red |

Hi,
I took a look at this. It works ok for me. I'm not sure this issue is a 'continue shopping' issue. It sounds like either an error on the cart or elsewhere if it said 'click on the back button'. I looked in the error logs and couldn't see any from your cart - do you know the approximate date/time that the customer was trying this? With regard to the 'Continue Shopping' button - as you are not using the Return URL param merchants will be taken to the previous page if the cart can work it out - or will be taken to the 'Continue Shopping URL' in other cases. You should use the return URL parameter if it is important to you that all customers are returned to a specific URL on clicking the 'Continue Shopping' button. Please let us know the date time if poss, as well as any other information that might help us to recreate this issue. Many Thanks Support |

Dear Support
we could not recreate it either. Where would the error message saying to click on the back button come from? I have never seen that, is this on Roman Cart some where? the first email was at 5.45am today so I would think it was just prior to then as the customer then gave up and emailed us direct with the order details. The issues on the OP's site seem partially fixed for me. It was kicking me straight off yesterday.
Looking at the Victorinox strap page (which yesterday was sending me back to Google or whatever I was looking at before attempting to shop), first product on the page: Chrome ver. 38, continue shopping sends me back to the 'correct' page. Firefox 33, ditto. IE 11, ditto. Safari on iphone 5 (don't know which version), ditto. Opera Ver 25 - I'm sent back to OP's homepage. Opera 25 on Red's product page returns me back to the same product page (not the homepage), as does Chrome, IE and Firefox. I'm using a Windows 8.1 PC. |

Red,
If 5.45am is correct then the error was not from us . All our errors and warnings are logged and there was nothing at all around or within hours of that time. It would be great if you could get more information from the customer, such as seeing if they can still reproduce it and if so, what are the steps. The problem they are reporting could be anything - including things not at all related to the cart or your website directly, it is impossible to tell without being able to see the issue occur or find some trace of it in logs. Many Thanks Support |

Thanks both for checking, we also have tried to recreate the problem. I will ask the customer if she can test this again to see if it is an on going problem for her.

I am beginning to suspect that the underlying issue here is that the RC system is forgetting where customers have come from - after say 10 minutes. I have just reproduced this exactly after leaving the cart page open for a period of time.
