Has anyone found an elegant software solution to obtain end-user agreement that your website uses cookies? The deadline in the end of May - after that anyone not askingg and getting agreement to use cookies can be fined upto £500,000.

TACO doesn't detect any cookies on RC's shopping cart pages - there are 2 on RC's own website which will need pre-agreement by end-users at the end of May. I use Getclicky on our own site to monitor in real time who is using it. My reluctant solution is to kill this off when the new regs come into play. I have looked at some free software using PHP to get on-the-fly end-user agreement and then residual agreement. This still takes some serious input by end-users which will damage actual useage of websites - especially by people from outside the EU. BT have adopted a passive approach on their website to this issue but I am not sure it is strictly "legal".
