Support,
A few of the open source shopping carts now display product items on Paypal payment page, is this something you can implement. These are mostly PHP coded and not ASP, so not sure if it makes a difference. Mike |

HI,
Feel free to post the url of a site which does this as we have not seen this with PayPal Standard. You can customize the PayPal pro payment pages anyway however adding products on the payment pages is not something we would recommend. Once a customer has made the decision to buy then normally you want to give them as few opportunities to leave the payment process as possible. Many Thanks Support |

This link will show you.
the image above dotted line is the shoping cart checkout and below is the paypal screen. http://www.classylashes.com/paypalitemized.htm Notes: ============== Due to the fact that The Cart supports multiple order totals (tax, coupons, low order fee, subtotal, etc) and Paypal only supports the basics, certain fields will be merged together appropriately. For example, if The Cart shows: ================= Subtotal: $100.00 Low Order Fee: $50.00 Shipping: $7.50 Tax: $5.50 Total: $163.00 Paypal will show: ================== Subtotal: $100.00 Shipping: $57.50 (merged the low order fee) Tax: $5.50 Total: $163.00 Edited by wigman - 25 March 2010 at 11:00pm |

Hi,
Ignore my last post - I thought you were referring to cross-sell and up-sell items on the payment page, whereas this is actually referring to sending the purchased product details to PayPal rather than just the total amount to pay. It would be great to do this and certainly something that we would like to see added. The only problem - which is why it doesn't do it at the moment is identified in your 'Notes' comment. RomanCart has lots of flexibility in things like tax, discounts, promotions, offers etc and it would likely be a difficult task to map these to the relatively simple PayPal fields. Many thanks Support |

Support,
Sorry to hijack this post but my query is PayPal related! I use PayPal Pro and when a customers checks-out via 'Express Checkout', PayPal provide an 'additional info comments' box on their page but sadly the information entered here fails to appear in the 'additional info' area on the RC invoice, consequently important info the customer has provided, e.g. delivery instructions etc. are not seen on the order which can cause serious implications Can you resolve this issue? Thanks in advance, Regards Nick G. |
