Has there been any problem with Paypal and Nochex links as we had several orders not go through properly last night. Could be user error or they just decided not to complete, but wondered if there was a problem with either of these services connecting with RC cart.

Hi Jane,

I had two orders yesterday that showed in Sales Manager Pay status as 'Result not ready'

The status history: shows 'Completed' followed about one second later by 'Result not ready'

I had to set them to 'Paid' manually

Spoke to one of our customers and she said she couldn't get paypal to work at all. I also found when I tried to log on to paypal it wouldn't let me log on either so think it might have been an outside issue rather than an RC one now. Nice to know I wasn't alone!

I have had problems with PayPal Pro PayFlow Edition and PayPal Pro USA and also PayPal Advanced. The first 2 would work for Visa Cards, but send back a Card Not Valid for Master Cards and the order shows Incomplete. I noticed the Incompletes seemed to have increased, so I called the customers and tried using heir credit cards with the same error results. I re-ran their cards though Link Point and they all worked.

Advanced would not let me fill the Credit Card Security field in. I tried with IE and Chrome.

I've also noticed approximately 100 strange entries are showing in my PayPal Daily Activity Transaction Report per day, I've reported the issue to PayPal support and they have replied as follows:

Quote I see a pattern in your PayPal daily report where you are sending an API inquiry request without any value.
This means that somehow your web/system is calling wrong API request to the PayPal server.

PayPal Merchant Technical Support


Could you please investigate this urgently as customers are abandoning the cart due to this payment processing issue which has been occurring for several months now and we are loosing sales.

Please email us the details of the api call. If you do not have them, please can you get your support contact to forward them and we will take a look.

As per previous posts, the result not yet ready is something we will implement a workaround for (i.e. get the page to refresh a few times as it seems that RomanCart is simply too fast for it).

Hi Support,

I've submitted a request for details of the offending 'API requests' via the PayPal support forum and I'll get back to you when they reply.

I suspect that the 'result not yet ready' response is linked to the invalid API request issue

I'm not sure whether or not this is related to the issue but I've noticed that a high percentage of my PayPal transactions are showing 'null null' in the delivery address field as follows:

Send to address
null null
1 High St
Anytown
Shire
RG5 4JJ

What is causing the 'null null' to appear, is this an API script error?
