We would like to be able to have an offer where you 'buy a product and and get these products for free/discount'

ie at the moment we can only do 'buy a product and get a product for free/discount'

Thanks
Rich

Hi,
Use 'marketing'/'promotions and offers'/'bundles' for this.
Many Thanks

We have tried these but they don't do the same thing.

promotions means you need to input a code at checkout
bundles are very different as it means the items are not auto added but the buyer gets taken to a page where there are selection boxes next to the products

We need it so a buyer buys product x and then products a, b, c, d are automatically added to the basket.

Hi,

In this case just create one product which encompasses all 5 products.
Then (if you are using stock control) you can set up the stock on the product to deduct from the component products.

Many thanks

Ok, will have a look at that but sorry don't know how to set up a product that includes all 5 products, what are the steps?

I'm not sure if it makes a difference but Product x is tangible and products a, b, c, d are downloads.

Hi,

It wouldn't work if you are trying to deliver downloads.
There is not away to add 4 products to the cart when a promotion is entered.
Maybe zip up the downloads into one file (if less than 25mb) and have it as a single bonus product.
Alternatively set up a follow up email on your product which gives the url to download the free downloads from (wouldn't use digital vault or promotional codes).

Many Thanks

Thanks - possible alternatives but going back to our original suggestion if you could change the offers so it allows us to select more than one item then that would be the best solution.

If you can look into it that would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi Support

We really need this implemented. On the face of it it does not appear to be a big job for your programmers as you already have the code in place for selecting a range of items that triggers the offer.
We just need it so we can select a range of items that will be included in the offer.

At the moment we thought we could creating multiple offers
ie offer 1 - get X and get A free
offer 2 - get X and get B free
offer 3 - get X and get c free

Whilst this works, the problem is we are only allowed 20 offers and that is not enough for us to do it this way.

Your suggestion of creating zip files of multiple items is not the best solutions as this would create lots of new products which shouldn't be necessary. Likewise we need to use the digital vault and not a follow up email.

So is this something you could do please?

Rich

Hi,

Because of our current workload this is not something we are able to do at this time, however it is something we will look into when we revisit this area of functionality later in the year.

Many Thanks
