Just wanted to share with you the following - Today a potential new customer tried to purchase from us - first 2 tries were custmer not completed and third was customer cancelled. I checked our RBS payment page to see if they had tried to make a payment but they had not, I then sent 2 set up messages we have saying we noted that they had tried to order from our site and could we help in any way for the not completed and a third one for the customer cancelled that more or less says the same ie that we noted they had tried to order but had cancelled was there any extra information or questions etc and did they need any help. No reply to those so decided to give it one more try and sent them a 4th email to ask if they had encountered a problem with our online payment pages because if we are not made aware of problems we can not not fix them to which we received the following reply -
"Hello, I had no Problems directly! I only have no Credit Card for the payment! I will try again ....." Just wondering why fill in the order 3 times and select payment by card if you do not have a card with which to make a payment and then say you will try again. A Confused Red |

Yep, my suspicions, although what do you sell? Is it appealling to scammers?
Maybe he meant to say "I only have one" instead of "no". Also, sometimes I think people won't admit they can't do something so will give you rubbish rather than ask for help. I'd leave it alone as if it is a scammer and you help him out he'll tell all his mates and you'll get loads. I got had with an invoice payment through the shop and I've stopped them now as once one was successful I got a flurry of very suspicious orders. You live and learn. I'm just suspicous of everybody.

Hi Dave and Rainshoes
Yes I agree possible scammers, but maybe because we do deal with overseas customers it could also be the language problem - just wound me up that they have to select to purchase 3 times and then go no further. We also get some customers select to pay by card and then decide to email us and ask to pay by paypal or direct transfer which are not options we offer for payment. Re Payments we are also suspicous of everyone so have our RBS payments page set so we can view the security checks and then decide if we want to accept the payment and order or refuse it dependant on the security results, then simply mark our orders as "Payment Made" if we are accepting the order or "Payment Failed" if we refuse the payment which seems to work fine for us. Thanks for your posts Red |

I know the feeling about winding you up. I get days like that. I'm fine most of the time, but some days it just really pees me off.
Bet you feel better now though for having vented. |
