Beware of this scam

Hi All,
I just want to warn you all of a scam that's been circulating lately. On Saturday morning I received a letter with a stamp and local postmark on it. Inside was a newspaper article extolling the virtues of a business guru who could turn your small to medium size business into a hugely successful venture. Attached to it was a post-it note with what appeared to be a handwritten note, addressed to me personally, saying something like; "Dear Graham, I saw this and thought of you, have a look at this guy's website, it's amazing!". It was signed "J".
I'm sure we all have acquaintances whose names begin with J, so I thought a pal had sent it along. It was all very convincing, until I visited the website, and alarm bells started ringing at once.
To cut a long story short, the note, although it appears handwritten, is computer font, and mass produced. The newspaper article is a fake; this is all a clever scam to get you to visit the website, whereupon you'll be asked for your card details, and, of course, a payment.

Should you receive any such communication, totally disregard it; clever and quite convincing though it is, it's nothing but a scam.
