It would be helpful to be able to access stats such as average monthly/weekly sales of a product within product manager, and to be able to view the numbers next to the stock level in category view.

To be able to see product code, description, current stock level and average weekly sales on one line would assist when reordering from suppliers, as would the ability to be able to sort the columns by product turnover.

The ability to extend 'this month's top ten' to a customizable quantity and time span in dashboard view may also be useful to sellers of seasonal lines.

I think the whole RC reporting section needs revamping. For example what is the logic behind showing the past 6 days for orders received? Last time I looked at a calendar a week was 7 days! Also a top 10 list of sales items is a bit miserly - why not 20, 30 or 50 items?

Hi,

This is always an interesting question as of course there is an infinite number of reports that merchants may need.
Our preferred method of reporting is for merchants to download the data, then you can run your own reports in an external reporting tool.

We simply supply a number of pre-canned reports which we think you will find of interest.

Many Thanks

Okay.

In that case it would be helpful to be able to access more than one month's worth in a single download (I know I can chop and paste things together in a spreadsheet but it's not the most efficient way of working).

Is that a viable proposition or is there a technical reason not to?

Hi,

There is a technical reason which is that RomanCart is a shared system used by a lot of merchants.

If everyone was on separate servers, then you would be able to download as much as you want, but the system would be exponentially more expensive.

You get the same issue with PayPal, banks etc.

I would love to see a report that shows product sales and postage separately. I don't know whether there is a way of doing this?
