I have a client who sells interior design products. These range from small vases and decorations to large bespoke furniture.

Is it possible to apportion different shipping costs to each individual item?

Even vases present a problem, as a given item, might come in three sizes, each incurring significantly different shipping costs. So there are variations from product to product and within individual product groups!

Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

I think with a little ingenuity you could adapt weight based shipping to achieve this. You would need to try it, but I would think if you used weight based shipping and say made up weight options such as options such as 1 to 2, 3 to 4 (to fit with the options given when setting up weight based shipping) and then for each product gave a weight of 1, 3, 5, etc for each product you could probably achieve this.

I hope you can understand what I mean. Basically, although its strictly speaking weight based, blank this out and just use the principle to apply individual shipping for items.

I am struggling with the same sort of thing.

I have set up each item in the product manager and used the code that the Product Manager produces but when I add the <input name="shipping1" type="hidden" value="10" /> to the code in my editor then add the product to basket, no shipping is added and remains at zero.

I have set up the basic shipping type calling it "Next Day Delivery" which gives me the Shipping1 reference to use in the code.

What might I be doing wrong?
