Is it possible to merge customers in the CRM. I have one customer who has used two different e-mail addresses and want to put her under one e-mail address can this be done?

Hi,
Not at the moment. This actually presents a significant problem as the customer is keyed on their email address. i.e. the email address uniquely identifies the customer. If a customer changes their email address then they are essentially a new customer. The only way around this would be for customers to have accounts they have to log onto to identify them, where they can be identified by an account number. Having said that you could edit every previous order made by the customer and change their email address to the new email address, then this would essentially merge the customer. Many Thanks Support |

That'll do the trick. Thanks. They don't have many orders so could be done. We just keep a running total of orders as the customer can get benefits for so many orders.

I've tried changing the e-mail address as suggested and it doesn't work. The customer remains in the CRM with the old e-mail address.

Hi,
You would need to change the email addresses on the orders in question. That would not remove the contact from the CRM, you would need to delete them manually. Many Thanks Support |
