Hi chaps, I'm having a small but irritating problem with RomanCart confirmation mails.

Orders from EU countries often include non-US-English characters in the address -- acute and grave accents from France, umlauts from Germany and so on.

I have opted to receive plaintext email confirmations. As far as I can tell, RomanCart is still using the ASCII character set to send mails. As a result, non-US-English characters are represented by groups of two or three letters, not always obvious. I have to consult the RomaCart website or write to the customer for clarification, all of which wastes time.

Any chance of switching RomanCart e-mails into UTF-8?

Best, Will / HUBJUB

Hi guys, I have the UTF-8 option set. Still getting messy non-unicode encodings in the confirmation mails. Can send examples if wanted. Best, W.

Support,

I suffer the same problem!

I use PayPal Pro and have the UTF-8 option set in RC. The characters are displayed correctly in RC, it's just the emails for some international orders that are garbled

e.g.

address as shown in email=

Grønnebakkan 49
Harstad
9408
NORWAY

address as shown in RC=

Grønnebakkan 49
Harstad
9408
NORWAY

Regards

Nick G.

Hi chaps, sorry for the slow follow-up -- I was travelling yesterday afternoon. A perfect glitched example came in this morning. I don't want to post a customer's order details for obvious reasons, so please either have a look at the server logs and get the outgoing e-mail for RC7171977 or mail me direct on sales@hubjub.co.uk and I will forward the message as recd. Glad to hear from Nick G., btw -- I was beginning to think it was just me! Best, W.
