Hi,
When using Postcode/Zip based shipping, you can now enter the postcode/zip ranges as a list rather than having to enter them individually.
Many Thanks Support

This would be a handy time saving feature if only it worked!
Regretfully it doesn't!
I've just opened a Postcode list to make a small edit and after saving I noticed it had lost 90% of the content.
This is my full list of Postcodes for standard UK courier service:
AB,1,16 AB,21,25 AB,30,30 AB,39,39 AL,-1,-1 B,0,-1 BA,-1,-1 BB,-1,-1 BD,-1,-1 BH,-1,-1 BL,-1,-1 BN,-1,-1 BR,-1,-1 BS,-1,-1 CA,-1,-1 CB,-1,-1 CF,-1,-1 CH,-1,-1 CM,-1,-1 CO,-1,-1 CR,-1,-1 CT,-1,-1 CV,-1,-1 CW,-1,-1 DA,-1,-1 DD,-1,-1 DE,-1,-1 DG,-1,-1 DH,-1,-1 DL,-1,-1 DN,-1,-1 DT,-1,-1 DY,-1,-1 E,-1,-1 EC,-1,-1 EH,-1,-1 EN,-1,-1 EX,-1,-1 FK,-1,-1 FY,-1,-1 G,1,-1 GL,-1,-1 GU,-1,-1 HA,-1,-1 HD,-1,-1 HG,-1,-1 HP,-1,-1 HR,-1,-1 HU,-1,-1 IG,-1,-1 IP,-1,-1 KA,-1,-1 KT,-1,-1 KY,-1,-1 L,0,-1 LA,-1,-1 LD,-1,-1 LE,-1,-1 LL,-1,-1 LN,-1,-1 LS,-1,-1 LU,-1,-1 M,-1,-1 ME,-1,-1 MK,-1,-1 ML,-1,-1 N,-1,-1 NE,-1,-1 NG,-1,-1 NN,-1,-1 NP,-1,-1 NR,-1,-1 NW,-1,-1 OL,-1,-1 OX,-1,-1 PA,1,19 PE,-1,-1 PH,1,3 PL,-1,-1 PO,0,29 PR,-1,-1 RG,-1,-1 RH,-1,-1 RM,-1,-1 S,-1,-1 SA,-1,-1 SE,-1,-1 SG,-1,-1 SK,-1,-1 SL,-1,-1 SM,-1,-1 SN,-1,-1 SO,-1,-1 SP,-1,-1 SR,-1,-1 SS,-1,-1 ST,-1,-1 SW,-1,-1 SY,-1,-1 TA,-1,-1 TD,-1,-1 TF,-1,-1 TN,-1,-1 TQ,-1,-1 TR,1,20 TR,26,28 TS,-1,-1 TW,-1,-1 UB,-1,-1 W,-1,-1 WA,-1,-1 WC,-1,-1 WD,-1,-1 WF,-1,-1 WN,-1,-1 WR,-1,-1 WS,-1,-1 WV,-1,-1 YO,-1,-1
After editing & saving I only had the first and last 10 codes remaining
Not very helpful!

Am I missing something here?
I think you need to knock out the minus signs (dashes) and use commas to specify your range (unless this is new and they're required?).
When I did postcode based shipping, I ended up with a list that looked like this:
AB,1,16 AB,21,25 AB,30,30 AB,39,39 PA,1,19 PH,1,3 PO,0,29 TR,1,20 TR,26,28
i.e., the ones in your list which have no minus signs in there.
PA,1,19 for example returns as PA1 - PA19 postcodes inclusive.

Hi,
I agree this is probably the cause but I didn't insert the minus signs, RC has corrupted the list and added the minus signs for some reason

Maybe try using notepad to edit the list?
Something scrambled it. Were there spaces in the original?

My lists were created several years ago, before RC added the list option.
I just entered the first two letter e.g 'RG' for the majority of the postcodes and RC automatically inserted '0' in the second box and '<any>' in the second
For some reason the new list view changes 'RG 0 to <any>' into 'RG,-1,-1'
