we`ve already lost out as most of our products are made to order so old price postage has been paid on orders that will go out at the new prices.
We have been told that the price increases do not give customers any increase in the built in insurance value of items sent, that will remain at £46, we were expecting it to go up to £60 in line with the first class stamp.

Not good is it. They were talking about small business on BBC Breakfast and the post and basically said what I'd found out that small business with packets 0-750 g were stuffed as there was no one else to carry these items. They reckoned Rotten Mail knows this which is why they have us all over a barrel.

Okay, yes its a business and prices to have to rise to cover costs, we'd all be doing the same, but I think a couple more levels between 0 and 750 g would have been better may something like 0-250g, 251-500g and 501-750g pricing would have been better. We have loads of parcels between 0 and 250 g and this will be a killer.

Perhaps Rotten Mail may find they lose more as if we don't sell these items because people won't pay the postage they'll have even less post to deal with. I have already last year stopped sending Christmas cards, birthday cards etc. I invest the money I would have spent on a card and postage into the present instead. More worthwhile I decided.
