I like the sound of your idea, If RC can find a way of integrating a Royal Mail on-line franking service into the system so that one Royal Mail OBA account is shared between a few thousand RC users this could be a solution to this crazy SmartStamp/OBA v.s. Fanking Machine fiasco. As this discussion forum is not monitored by support will you put your idea forward on the suggestions forum? Nick G. |

Hi All,
Important Warning to All SmartStamp users I urge all SmartStamp users to carefully check all the entries on the on-line pre-payment history against the franking impression history as recorded in the SmartStamp desktop application as I suddenly noticed that my pre-payment balance was going down at an alarming rate only to find that on the on-line pre-payment history it is showing that I've been charged for over 200 franking impression entries today when I've only actually printed 25 stamps. I've reported the problem to Royal Mail who didn't appear to be very surprised and I got the impression I was not the first to report this issue!! Nick G. |

Anyone finding they have to keep logging back on to smartstamp and it still keeps crashing. Also seems to go offline when I most need it like now.

Hi Jane,
Yes and I'm still occasionally getting charged twice, this mainly occurs when the system crashes out and you have to login again to print a stamp Are you cross-checking your on-line pre-payment history regularly to make sure it tally's with info recorded on the SmartStamp desktop application? RM's technicians have now added a time beside each transaction to help us reconcile the figures but its not much help because these times come through in random batches of up to 6 or so franking impressions, each showing exactly the same time even though they were printed at 5 minute intervals and they are not listed in the same order as the stamps were printed. I'm still waiting for RM to refund all my recent over-charges Shall we close this forum down and continue with the ongoing SmartStamp saga on the new forum post I've started regarding SmartStamp problems in the 'Administration' forum area?
