Hi,
The cart produces the data in csv format. Take a look in the csv file using notepad or a similar text editor and you will see all the data there as you would expect. Any problem with the data will be related to the import or processing in the package you are using to manipulate the data e.g. excel or similar. To verify this - take a look in the csv file at the line where you say it is 'missing all data after billing address field 2 for example' and you will see all the data there. Many Thanks Support |

Hi Support,
The data is included in the file if I do what you suggest. However, there are commas in the data which are corrupting the import to Excel. This could easily be solved if you'd strip out the commas in addresses entered by customers. Other people have asked for this in the past so it's obviously something which would help other cart users. Regardless of this, it still would be really useful if the original request to split the standard report up to show each payment gateway separately could be done. |

Hi,
If you click on the 'enclose the fields in double quotes' option on the export screen then it encloses each field in double quotes. This is how you get round commas in the data as it can then be imported into something like excel successfully as there is an option on the import to say that the data is enclosed in double quotes. Many Thanks Support |

Hi Support,
As I said earlier, I am clicking on that option, and I have excel set to recognise it on the import. ---- After playing even more, Excel has an option under Data / Get external data which allows the format to be changed on import, rather than just opening the csv as a new file from File / Open and then converting from text to columns of data. It still doesn't answer the original request, which would be really, really helpful if you could just amend the reports slightly; that way I could get the data I want in seconds rather than having to spend some time every month messing about with imports, and then manipulating the imported data to get only the paid orders and the correct values split by payment gateway ![]() Edited by Dave P - 15 March 2011 at 12:55pm |
