I definitely need a solution to Royal Mail for low cost items that is quick and reliable, but they don't exist as tried to find someone that fitted this bill during the postal strike. RM have in recent weeks failed me so many times. They couldn't even manage to get a guaranteed next day delivery for 1.00 pm there when it was posted at 10.00 am the day before. They have also just cost someone a job. She ordered the face paint colours from me 1st class Friday 5th Feb to be used the following Friday, for which one would have assumed would be enough time for the product to arrive. It hasn't.

This time yet again, phoned to complain and apologies, which are not worth the paper they are written on as they won't compensate me for the lost business when my customers go elsewhere. Got we'll make sure it doesn't happen again. Told em I wouldn't hold my breath and they want to buck their ideas up as if I go out of business they will lose custom too

This is the "new improved" service is it? It was a damn sight better in the 60's and 70's at least we got our post before 9.00 am and two deliveries. Now I'm lucky if my post comes before 3.00 pm in the afternoon. Rubbish.

Sorry for the rant, but so bl**dy livid. In fact incandecent with rage.

So it could be a worldwide phenomenom cr*p post then

I do feel better for the rant and also your comments....

When anyone finds a suitable low cost alternative, let me know cos I'll be pushing my way to the front of the queue.

I know that even if you use someone else it won't be 100% perfect, but RM are failing me nearly every week lately, which is why I was driven to phone instead of form filling. Still gonna do that to get compensation for the lost item and the non guaranteed delivery. Someone else could better them easily even if they only lost a parcel a month instead of nearly every week they'd be an improvement.
